Long term customer who’s service experience is declining

Over time the service is declining. Orders sit for long periods in ‘Processing’ No communication is forthcoming and is only reactive if you reach out as a customer. When you do contact, your enquiries do get followed up, but then nothing changes. Ordered on 4th May, showing still processing on 15th May.

We do advise at the time of ordering the estimated date of despatch, however there will be times when further delays may happen with the manufacturer. It is unfortunate that the lenses you require are gradually being discontinued, which means the manufacturers are slower at replenishing stock and therefore slower at getting them to us. Been using this company for many years…

Been using this company for many years and usually reliable, quick delivery and easy to order. Recently they’ve almost never had my brand in stock which means I’m using different lenses every few months. Also I used to be able to give the person on the other end of the phone my card number and it was done. Now they need to e mail you a link which you have to click on and follow then input your card details On line. After that it’s into my account to verify the payment then return to this site to finalise the order. Too much faffing for no good reason!

The delay in receiving an order too long.

The delay in receiving an order is substantially longer than other suppliers. Normally received within two days of order. Nearly two weeks with yourselves.

Unhappy about failure in next day delivery

I have been using contactlenses.co.uk for years. However, I was disappointed with my recent order as I paid for next day delivery and despite being home all day, there was no attempt to deliver the lenses to my address. I had to wait an additional two days before having to go and collect them from the post office.

Next Day is not guaranteed for a Saturday delivery which is why it did not make it to you on this date. Apparently I did not pay when I first…

Apparently I did not pay when I first my order. I did not get any reminder, or any heads upp. So after a couple of weeks I notice that the product had not arrive, and I turns out i hade not payed. I just whish I hade received an reminded of sorts.

I was advised to order this and I received them a day late than expected and also it does feel comfortable to wear but hard to connect to my eye as the material is so fine and thin- took me a while to get it on as an experienced contact lens wearer . Won’t be ordering again of this quality as rather have my original one before.

Good price but delivery expectations not met

Good price and product as usual. I ordered on a Friday before 3 and paid for next day delivery and the order was accepted but I didn't get an email until almost 4 to say the warehouse would now pick it, and didn't get it until Tuesday.

10% increase in cost

Feel a 10% increase on cost of my usual order is too much even with inflation.Was £47 in May.Now is £57.Still cheaper than most but would question reasoning for increase.

No stock

I've used this company for a few years now to buy my contacts. They've always been really good. Up until now, the only negative experiences I've had have been when I've bought cheaper lenses that irritated my eyes, and that's my fault. Most of their lenses have been great quality and I wear them for really long days with no problems. But recently everything's out of stock! Even coloured lenses. Not great when you've run out and need them quickly. I'm having to reuse my daily disposable lenses now so will have to buy somewhere else this time which is a shame.

Don't bother

Edited after reply. I received a full refund but only after I raised a request with my bank. Ordered the lenses on 1st June 2023, it's now the 6th July 2023 and nothing has been received. Received a couple of emails saying that they were updating their systems so expect some delays, but they don't even respond to requests to cancel and refund.

I bought crystal contact lenses

I bought crystal contact lenses - but they are poor version I received. I have bought crystal aqua which are good but crystal blue are useless and poor - I have also in past received a mix of boxes. Crystal aqua in white are good crystal in blue packet should be avoided

Had due to a despatch error I was without correct lenses for the best part of a month. However it is been resolved to my satisfaction. I was told by customer service that I had ordered my correct power and they told me what I had ordered. It was a despatch error of some sort.

Very easy process to order and a very…

Very easy process to order and a very quick delivery. But the lenses I got the prescription I’ve used for the last two year. Something was not rite with the lenses. Was not able to read writing or any emails on my mobile phone. Never had this problem in the past. Just with the daily lenses I got. So got two months worth of daily lenses I cannot use.

Quality over cheap alternatives

Used for years. Usually quick & reliable. Expensive for decent lenses and push poor alternatives (but we're all different). Such as ACUVUE v CRYSTAL. Latter only ok for max 6 hours; former, though 2/3 times cost, can last at least 24 hours (not recommended but easily 18 hours). Suggest you folks focus on value for quality!?

Everything good about the lenses and…

Everything good about the lenses and the delivery. However they processed two payments, the actual one and an erroneous one meaning i had a pending transaction on my bank account for two weeks. during this time this money was unavailable to me even though it was mine. Fortunately i can cover the temporary loss of twenty quid.

Have you change box sizes??? This is the 3rd order that the postman cannot fit through the door. Previous 2 I have had to drive to depot and collect. Luckily I was in this time.

Great comfort but issues in packaging

Great comfort, excellent vision achieved. The packaging is poor so when tearing off one contact lens packet it tears into the next one causing leakage. I have now used five contact lenses and one was torn and had to be thrown out. I had read about both of these issues from previous people but felt that for the price I was willing to risk both of these situations. If I find any further torn contact lenses then I will not be buying this brand again.

Delivery delay

Usually, the contact lenses arrive very promptly (i.e. within 2 or 3 days of the order date) but, on this occasion, it took more than a week. This may have been due to the Royal Mail strike action so, hopefully, normal service will be resumed next time.

Brilliant service from this company

Brilliant service from this company - as always. The product, however, isn't so good. It was recommended as a cheaper alternative to my usual order - and against my better judgement I took the advice. Will go back to my regular item at the next order.

order arrived late but compensation was given

My order was late by a few weeks however I did receive my order plus a full refund as compensation.

Normally a very smooth experience but…

Normally a very smooth experience but on this occasion the lenses were delivered a week later than the estimated date. I also had to call and request that my order be separated so that the lenses in stock could be shipped immediately, and the ones not in stock when they became available.

On my two most recent orders the…

On my two most recent orders the delivery has been very slow l, it took about one week from order to delivery. I have been using this retailer for many years and it used to be an excellent service when I used to receive my lenses next day without fail. Now you need a minimum order to get free delivery, ok fine but I still expect the same service. On this occasion I needed lenses for my holiday and I ordered well in time before I needed them but then had to order some additional ones from another retailer to ensure I received them in time. So it’s a good service unless you need lenses urgently

I can see your orders left our despatch centre the same day as you had ordered, and both were sent using the Royal Mail first class delivery we have always used. The delay in reaching you is most likely due to the pressures Royal Mail were still under due to covid and lack of staffing. Really happy with the service

Really happy with the service, the website is easy to use and the lenses always arrive on time. My only issue is that once they’ve not had the lense I’ve always purchased I’ve been sent a replacement lense. The previous batch of replacements were very good no issues at all however the current ones I have by Qualys aren’t as good as any I’ve had previously.
